The Secretary General is appointed by the Management Committee. He is at the head of the Compagnia's operating organization.
40 years old, a University of Turin Physics graduate (with honours), he obtained a PhD in Physics from the Turin Polytechnic and began his career as a post-doc researcher in the field of quantum statistical mechanics.
After obtaining a Master's degree in Economics at the Collegio Carlo Alberto, he worked at the Turin Polytechnic, the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN-National Institute of Nuclear Physics) and the Collegio Carlo Alberto, supporting research groups in attracting competitive funds and managing funding. He participated in the VQR evaluation exercises for 2004-2010 and 2011-2014 at the Agenzia Nazionale per la Valutazione del sistema Universitario e della Ricerca (ANVUR-National Agency for the Evaluation of the University System and Research).He joined the Compagnia di San Paolo Sistema Torino Consortium in 2013 as head of the Fund Raising area and was appointed its Director in May 2016.
In 2018 he was selected in Compagnia di San Paolo as Director of Territorial Development with the task of coordinating the various units to make the 2017-2020 strategic plan operational.
He was Innovation Manager of the Research and Innovation Fund of Equiter s.p.a.
Finally, he has many years of direct experience in the world of the service sector, mainly in the fair trade movement, at a local as well as national and international level.
He was appointed Secretary General on 27 July 2018.
